This was always one of my most favorite bus illustrations that I created, so much so that I had a framed copy of it on my bedroom wall in high school. All of my illustrations were done as pencil sketches and therefore never colored. With this blog and the advance of technology my goal is to recreate my old drawings updated and colorized, however with my first post I decided to pay homage to my 13 year old self and present my favorite illustration in it's original pen and ink over pencil form.
This is one of the more peaceful drawings I created of a school bus' demise, rusting away serenely beneath a few dead oak trees. Almost the way I would want to go, instead of being hacked up in my sleep by my spouse, after having been driven to insanity by my warped and twisted view of the world, which is more likely how I will go. Anyway, in keeping with the spirit of this site I also present to you the updated Colorized version.
